Why does the lab reject some samples?

Modified on Fri, 9 Dec, 2022 at 3:10 PM

There are several reasons why the lab may reject your sample. Often, it’s because there is not enough quality of the sample collected. For example, there may not be enough blood collected on the card, not enough saliva in the tube, or the urine sample was too dilute.

Another common reason the lab will reject your sample is it is missing patient identifiers. For example, there was no name written on the collection card.

If you think you collected your sample incorrectly, please let us know. Our team can evaluate your sample before you return it to the lab.
