Do shipping temperatures affect my kit or results?

Modified on Fri, 9 Dec, 2022 at 3:16 PM

Samples remain stable for a limited amount of time, so it is important to mail your sample promptly after collecting.

Temperatures in transit will not affect blood or saliva sample stability, but cold temperatures may affect urine samples, resulting in rejection by the lab.

Saliva samples should be sent as soon as possible after collection. If your saliva sample will not be sent on the same day as collection, please store it in the freezer until you are ready to ship.

Please keep dried blood spots or dried urine samples at room temperature and out of direct sunlight.
